It seems to me that you have rotator cuff tendonitis! Your tendons in the shoulder area appear to be very inflamed. This may be due to overexertion of the rotator cuff muscles, especially in a sport that expends a lot of pressure on these muscles! I'm going to prescribe Naproxen to help relieve the pain and inflammation.
Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandins, a group of lipids that stimulate pain receptors in the body. Naproxen works by blocking the effect of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes which are responsible for creating prostaglandins. Naproxen then provides a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect on the injured area.
Side effects include confusion, headache, ringing in the ears, changes in vision, tiredness, drowsiness, dizziness and rashes. You may also experience constipation and gas, but this just indicate that your body is still adjusting to the medicine. Since your pain is more severe, take 500 milligrams twice a day with or just after a meal.
Sounds good! Now coach, may I get back to the game?
