- Climate change in the arctic is a real problem. Scientists have found a solution.They placed small silica beads in certain regions of the arctic to enhance albedo. Albedo is when sunlight is reflected by ice, which helps keep the climate chilly.

- The cold water of the arctic are not for swimming.They do, however, help a process called thermohaline circulation(THC).THC is a system were cold water sinks and warm water sinks.THC helps keep climate and weather in check.
- With the benefits of the coast come the risk of sea storms.The land around the arctic is no exception.What most people don't realize is that arctic sea ice prevents big storms from forming.
- As cold as the Arctic Ocean is, the air above it is still colder.Arctic sea ice acts as insulation between the two. The melting ice allows for the ocean below to warm up, which makes the ice melt even more.

- The Arctic's cool climate makes it the perfect home for several different species that don't live anywhere else.If the Arctic Ocean' sea ice melts,the polar bear,narwhal,beluga whale, and the arctic wolves and seals will all die out.
- The varies tribes of the Arctic circle,such as the Inuit,the Yupik,and the Aleut have lived there for centuries.Their way of life depends on the animals that provide them with the resources to survive. Their way of life will die out without the animals.
