Storyboard Text

  • INTRODUCTION / STARTING POPULATION
  • OVERPRODUCTION
  • VARIATION AND COMPETITION
  • THE LIZARD SPECIES, SAND LIZARDS , LIVE ON BROWN SANDY AREA. THE LIZARD S ARE GETTING KILLED BY THE HAWKS FROM ABOVE
  • ADAPTATION
  • MORE DOMINANT LIZARDS ARE BORN THAT CAN SURVIVE IN THE DESERT. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FOOD NOR SPACE THAT THEY CAN LIVE ON. THE LIZARDS WITH THE WORST TRAITS ARE STARTING TO GET KILLED.
  • SELECTION / DIFFERENTIAL SURVIVAL
  • NOT ALL OF THE LIZARDS MATCH THE DESERT. SOME LIZARDS ARE RED AND GREEN. ALL THE LIZARDS IN THE DESERT ARE TRYING TO STAY ALIVE AND NOT GET EATEN BY THE HAWKS
  • DIFFERNTIAL REPRODUCTION / SPECIATION
  • THE RED AND GREEN LIZARDS STAND OUT MORE THAN THE BROWN LIZARDS. THAT MAKES THEM GET KILLED MORE OFTEN , MORE THAN THE BROWN LIZARDS, WHICH MATCH THEIR ENVOIRONMENT AND ARE KILLED MUCH LESS.
  • BECAUSE OF THE SPECIES ADAPTATION TO THE DESERT. BROWN LIZARDS ARE BETTER ADAPTED TO AVOID GETTING KILLED BY THE HAWKS AND BROWN POPULATION INCREASES SIGNIFICANTLY.
  • ONLY THE GENETICALLY DOMINANT BROWN LIZARDS SURVIVE AND GET TO REPRODUCE. BECAUSE MOST OF THE LIZARDS ARE BROWN, THEY PASS ON THEIR TRAITS TO THEIR OFFSPRING AND A PRODOMINANTLY NEW SPECIES IS FORMED.
