Storyboard Text

  • God accepts the sacrifice of Abel and rejects that of Cain.
  • How can I give thanks to God?
  • When you're grown up, Abel, give to God the best of your flock. God told us that we ought to offer sacrifices in showing our gratitude.
  • While the brothers were growing up, Abel could not wait for the day when he could present his offering to God. In contrast, Cain focused only on his harvest.
  • If Abel offer a good sacrifice, I will also offer one also.
  • God was pleased with the offering of Abel, but He was displeased with the attitude of Cain.
  • Why has God favored my brother over me?
  • Cain kills Abel. And Cain becomes a restless wanderer on the earth.
  • Yes, although Cain is sure that no one saw him killing his brother, suddenly he is fearful. Whom would he see? Who?
  • Cain looks around ... And he hears God's voice asking him, "Where is your brother Abel?'
  • I ... I don't know! Am I supposed to watch over my brother?
  • God knows that I killed my brother.
  • Terrified, Cain listens the verdict from God: As punishment for having murdered Abel, Cain is evicted from his land and be condemned to be always a fugitive.
  • My God! This punishment is more than I can handle.
