- The 3rd estate heard about the enlightment and how they can rebel since the government is protecting their rights.

- King Luois XVI, weak and in debt from wars, wanted more money while his people, thate were alredy highly taxed and no banks would give him money, made him call the estates general to raise taxes and the 1st and 2nd estate agreed in the vote.

- People went to the Bastille to take wepons so they could protect themselves and there constiution.
- The Jacobins, that were in the National Convention, were the most radical and ruthless of the political groups formed in the wake of the French Revolution.
