  • Graphs of Polynomial Functions
  • f(x)=2(x-1)2(x+1)(x-5)
  • f(x)=-3x3(x+2)(x-2)
  • Mrs. Shelia: Good morning class, are y'all ready to present your polynomial functions and graphs? I'm super excited to see what y'all have come up with. Now, please don't forget to do the work when each equation gets put on the board. Whoever wants to present there's first may do so, and then we will go from there.
  • f(x)=1/2x(x+4)
  • Mrs. Shelia: Alright Roxanne what did you come up with? Roxanne: Okay, well... this is the equation I have come up with, and this is my graph along with the points on it. Now you guys may try and figure out how I got the equation to see if you get the same thing.
  • f(x)=2/15x(x+2)(x-2)
  • Mrs. Shelia: Okay, excellent job Roxanne. Toni, would you like to go next? Toni: Yes ma'am, this is my equation for the graph on question two. See if you can try to figure out if I got my equation right by trying to work it out.
  • f(x)=-1/42(x+5)(x+2)(x-3)(x-8)
  • Mrs. Sheila: Good job Toni. Now who wants to give a go at number three? Corey: I'll try it. Since we had to come up with our own on question three, here is the equation and graph I came up with. Can you guys try the math and see if you come up with the same thing I did with this second degree polynomial?
  • Mrs. Shelia: You did a terrific Corey. Who is going to try the third degree for question four? Christopher: I'll give a go at it. I decided to do this for my third degree polynomial equation and graph. How about you guys do the work and see if it looks like mine.
  • Mrs. Sheila: Stupendous work Christopher. Juliana, wanna try the last one; the fourth degree polynomial? Juliana: Okay, I believe I've got this one. This is what I came up with for my equation and graph. Now would you mind seeing if I'm right? Mrs. Sheila: Everyone did a magnificent job. Now, before y'all leave, would you please turn in the work and give everyone a round of applause.
