Great observation Paul! We also need to think about extrication and how we will get them out of the house. Hopefully they are downstairs and we can utilise the stair chair
Okay Cecilia, we have arrived. As we conduct a windscreen survey we can see that we have a semi-clear path to the house, but need to consider the motor bike and two cats.
Pre-Arrival
I don't at the moment Cecilia, but I will re-assess for dangers now and throughout the case, whilst also performing a dynamic risk assessment on entry to the house
Besides the two cats which we will ensure stay outside, do you see any other dangers Paul?
Pre-Arrival
As the patient is complaining of shortness of breath, we should don some PPE to protect ourselves. Make sure you put on an N95, gown, gloves and goggles!
Valid point Cecilia! I think we are nearly ready to meet our patient. Let's make sure we grab our monitor, oxygen bag, and medication bag. As we are unsure about extrication and mobilization, we should grab the stair chair to get over the front door steps also
We should also attempt to gain 360 degree access to the patient for a full assessment.
