When I was assigned this assignment, I really wasn’t looking forward to it. I don’t want to make a comic because that would involve pictures. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be, since I would be “drawing” the comic digitally. I don’t actually have to draw the storyboard with my own art style. The first thing I’m going to do is that I will write the titles and the descriptions for each panel. Once I’m done with that, then I will start making the pictures in the panels. That’s basically it. Making the pictures, however, will take much longer than the titles and descriptions, because I have to make it look nice. It won’t look really good, but I will try my best. I still don’t know 100% how to use the editor thing for the pictures. Alright, I’m going to save this now, see all of you later.

Colonization Law of 1825
I’ve gone to Texas. Texas is better. You should come with us.
Mier y Teran Report
Law of April 6, 1830
In 1824, Mexico’s Federal government passed colonization law allowing states the power to make decisions about land grants. The Government of Coahuila y Tejas passed its own law in 1825.
Austin’s Imprisonment
Manuel Mier y Teran, a Mexican General/Reporter/Investigator, was sent by the Mexican Government to look into problems in Texas in 1827-1829. He found that the Anglo influence in Texas was dangerous and Mexico could lose Texas.
Conventions of 1832 and 1833
On April 6, 1830, the Mexican Government saw Mier y Teran’s report and established a new law that stopped immigration from the United States to Texas, suspended most empresario contracts, placed taxes on imported goods that came from the USA, and encouraged immigration from Mexico and Europe.
The Consultation
Stephen F. Austin was frustrated with Santa Anna and The Government, so he wrote a letter to them. The letter informs Texas to set up a state government. The Mexican officials read the letter and arrest Austin for treason.
The Texans listed grievances against the Mexican government. Stephen F. Austin was nominated to lead the convention, so he was sent to Mexico City to talk to the President.
Texans met to decide what to do, and two parties developed out of this. The war party wanted to break away from the Mexican Government, and the peace party wanted to stay with the Mexican Government if they honor the Constitution of 1824.
