Lizabeth went out shopping one day, a man on the street was talking to her but since Lizabeth had headphones in she couldn't hear the man. Later that night after she had gotten home Lizabeth went out with some friends. Then the man broke in to her house. When Lizabeth got home it was a mess all her things were on the floor and scattered everywhere. After some time cleaning she realized her hand made portrait of her made by her father who had past away a few weeks after her marriage , This portrait meant everything to her it's her prized possession and now its gone. This reminds her of when she took Miss lotties marigolds away from her.
That evening Lizabeth invited Miss Lottie over to her house. She wanted to sincerely apologize to her. She explained that since Miss lottie's lawn was so dead and dull it confused her on why her marigolds were so vibrant and beautiful. It made no sense to her so she tore them up. She told Lottie that now she feel guilt and is now a lot more mature. She understands what she did was wrong and empathizes with her.
