Storyboard Text
- Giving up Peach made Grace wonder what her mother went through. When she asked to meet with her birth mother, she learned that she has siblings. She then sets up a meeting with Maya, her younger sister.
- "I want to find my birth mother."
- "Grace, you have siblings"
- Maya and Grace get to know each other and after they set up a meeting with Joaquin, their older brother.
- "I'm trying to find our bio mom."

- I can never tell Maya about Peach.
- "Ugh. Have fun"
- "That's my girlfriend, Claire."
- Maya and Grace met Joaquin for the first time and they go out for lunch. At lunch Joaquin lies about why he most likely wasn't adopted, Maya says that her parents are basically divorced, and Grace says that she wants to find their bio mom. These things all develop later in the story.
- I can't tell them why I wasn't adopted.
- "Probably just too old. Most people want babies or girls"
- "Well my parents are basically divorced. But they are still pretty nice.
- "I think we should look for our bio mom."
- After punching her ex's friend in the face, Grace runs to the bathroom and cries while thinking of Peach. Later, Rafe walks in and makes her feel a little better. Her mom comes to get her marking her last day of public school that year. Her friendship with Rafe doesn't end though and they meet up later at the mall.
- I punched Adam Dupane in the head three times.
- "Here it's not exactly an ice pack but it'll help."
- "What'd you do to your hand?'
- "Gracie?"
- Mark and Linda bring up the fact that they want to adopt Joaquin and they reassure him that they are not scared. This makes Joaquin think about the Buchanans. It also makes the reader wonder what happened.
- "We're not scared of adopting you if that's what your worried about. Mark and I love you . We know you. We trust you. Implicitly."
- I wonder if she is thinking about the Buchanans, the hospital reports, the X-ray of my broken arm.
- After breaking up with Claire, Maya goes back to her house. Lauren says that that their mom is asleep upstairs. She had passed out because she drank too much. Maya finds money and they go out to eat. When they come back they find their mom bleeding out on the floor. They call 911 and Grace.
- This money can last us a few nights She probably will do this a few more times.
- "What do you want for dinner."
- "Mom drank too much and is passed out."
