Storyboard Text

  • Ronald Dahl tries to land in the desert while he can still see the ground.
  • It was too late to turn aound. Ronald Dahl had no choice but to find the Amiriya air field.
  • Ronal Dahl is lost over the Western Desert near the Suez Canal in the middle of World War II looking for the 80 Squadron of the Royal Air Force at the Amiriya air field.
  • Oh no! It's starting to get dark.
  • The Amiriya air field is no where to be found. I Better find it soon because I won't be able to find it in the dark. Also I'm almost out of fuel.
  • There isn't a flat spot anywere without boulders for me to land. I have to find the flatest spot I can.
  • I hope there are no boulders.
  • His plane hits a boulder and nosedives into the sand.
  • His head slams into the reflector-sight. His skull is fractured. His nose is pushed in. He's lost a few of his teeth. He passes out.
  • Ronald Dahl wakes up. He hears two loud wooshes.
  • I can't see! I don't feel any pain. Is that my fuel tanks exploding? It's getting really hot. I need to get out of this plane right now!
  • Did you see that? That was one of our fighter planes. Let's go see if there's anyone alive.
  • The British soldiers are surprised to find Ronald Dahl still breathing. They take him back to their base where the doctors would save his life so he can see his family again after 3 years.
