- hey, im sal first best in my physics class and this is the second-
- what? no! anyway, hey, I am Lily and I think im way better in physics than sal. but aside from this obvious fact we were paired together to talk all about the micrometer screw gauge!
- what she said- to get straight in..what is a micrometer screw gauge?
- a micrometer screw gauge is an instrument used to measure very small dimensions!
- It contains various parts such as the thimble,the socket,the spindle, a ratchet and an anvil.
- yes and to simply and easily measure you put the item in between the spindle and the anvil and secure!
- It can be used to measure very small dimensions of small objects such as the width of a piece of paper. The range is 0-25mm!
- this instrument gives a very precise and accurate measurement. Our teacher gave us two sample questions, number 6 and 7!
- the answer for number 6 would be 16.82mm and for number 7-
- 9.25mm!!
- ugh..yes! also many jobs require the use of the mircometer screw gauge such as mechanical engineers!
