Life of Pi
Storyboard Text
- Pi's dad owns the Pondicherry zoo in India. He has to sell some of his animals and has to move to Canada with his family. Unfortunately, the cargo ship that was supposed to take them to Canada sinks after a few days at sea.
- Pi is thrown in a lifeboat by crew members. A hyena was already in it, and he understood that they hoped that the hyena would eat him instead of them. A zebra then falls in the lifeboat, breaking its leg, and is slowly devoured by the hyena.
- Pi then notices that Richard Parker, a full grown Bengal tiger is also on the lifeboat with him. Richard Parker kills the hyena, and Pi feels threatened by the presence of such a dangerous animal.
- To escape from the claws of the tiger, Pi builds a small raft that he attaches to the lifeboat. But then, Pi has an idea: he is going to raise Richard Parker. He uses his whistle simultaneously to the rocking of the sea to give headaches the tiger, and show him who the alpha male is.
- As the biscuits had all been eaten, and that the fishing was not successful anymore, Pi and Richard Parker found a small island covered with algae. They stay there for a while, but leave when they realize that there are teeth in the trees the island is carnivorous.
- Finally, Pi and the tiger reach Mexico. Richard Parker leaves in the forest and Pi is rescued by people from a nearby village.
