- There once lived a rich, smart man who lived in a village. He made lots of money by sparing It to the lower class people in the village. A family owed the rich man a lot, so the next day he went to find them to get his money back.
- On the day, no one from the family was home, except the younger son. He told the rich man that his parents were out cutting down live trees, planting dead ones and selling wind to buy the moon. The rich man angrily demanded that he was told where the boy's parents actually were and in return; their debt Ould be cancelled. But the boy needed a witness to prove this. A fly had landed on the rich man's stick, and they both agreed on it to be their witness
- A few days later; the rich man had went to the families house, now that parents were home. He demanded for them to pay up what they owed him, completely ignoring his promise to they boy! Their son, in shock quickly explained the promise that the rich man had made toward him. The parents didn't know what to do, so they decided to take this to court.
- At court, the boy explained everything to the Mandarin but he was not pleased with what he heard. As the boy informed about the witness fly and how it landed right on the rich man's nose, he was interrupted by the rich man.
- The rich man called out that the witness fly did not lan on his nose, but on his bamboo sticky correcting the boy as he did he called himself out for his own scandal. Everyone in the court room burst out laughing.
- The Mandarin told the rich man that he had to keep his promise to the family and forget about the money they owed him. Everyone was dismissed from the session and the family did not have to worry the rich man bothering them.
