- Jake the Young boy is considered deviant to the rest as he does not want to partake in this groups activities

- They are so weird over there...
- Though in this setting Jake is "normal". While the other group is deviant
- OMG did you see those kids?
- YES! no respect for public property.
- My son Jake is so well behaved, these kids are delinquents!
- Now these kids are experiencing "labelling theory". when someone gives them a label they start to act this way and identify like it. They are viewed as deviants and will likely act as such.
