In the beginning of the story Odysseus and the rest of the Greeks beach on an island and end up finding a cyclops cave with ram and goats and notice that an enormous man lives there. In the text it mentions, "Strangers,' he said, 'Who are you? and where from? What brings you here by seaways-a fair traffic? or are you wandering rogues, who cast your lives like dice, and ravage other folk by sea?( 3). Thjs shows that after returning from doing what the cyclops had to do,he noticed Odysseus and the Greeks in front of his home and started to question them about their appearance on the island.
Hahahahhah
In the middle of the story, The cyclops becomes clumsy after Odysseus and the Greeks gave him liquor and took the chance to follow their plan and stab the cyclops right in the eye. The cyclops tries to get help but it doesn't turn out how he expected. In the text it mentions, "To this rough shout they made a sage reply: 'Ah well, if nobody has played you foul there on your lonely bed, we are no use in pain given by great Zeus. Let it be your father, Poseidon lord, to whom you pray"(8). This shows that Odysseus's plan turned out good and it worked.
In the end of the story, After succesfely getting away from the cylops and its island, Odysseus and the Greeks get home and unload the things they took from the cyclops. It mentions in the text," Then we unloaded all the Cyclops’ flock to make division, share and share a like, only my fighters voted that my ram, the prize of all, should go to me."(14). This shows that Odysseus got himself and most of the Greeks back home but unfortunately some did not make it.
