- Slide: 1
- On Tally's birthday - which was also the day of her plastic surgery - Tally was taken to Special Circumstances where she met Dr. Cable. Dr. Cable asked her where Shay had gone but Tally promised Shay she couldn't tell anyone. Dr. Cable threatened Tally that if she didn't help them find Shay and her friends, Tally wouldn't be able to become beautiful.
- Tally was very confused and her parents came to comfort her and told her to follow Dr. Cable's words. Tally decided to help Dr. Cable. Dr. Cable gave Tally supplies and a heart-shaped necklace containing a tracking device for her. She started her journey to find Smoke.

- Tally arrived in Smoke City and Shay was happy to see Tally. Shay introduced David to Tally. Tally lied about the time she went to find Smoke.
- Hi Shay, I'm late because I had to avoid the surgeons at Pretty Town.
- Hi tally, nice to see you again. It took you longer than I thought. Oh, this is David.
- Hi Tally, My name is David
- Tally started to get used to life in Smoke and she started working but her hand got hurt so David gave her a pair of gloves. David wanted to take Tally to meet his parents.

- Tally was shocked to see David's parents, they looked alike. David's parents were both surgeons who had performed hundreds of cosmetic surgeries and they knew that when they operated, they would damage a part of the brain.
- Because genetic traits like small lips and personality all disappear after surgery.
- David!Why do you and your father look so similar?
- Tally, this is my parents, their names are Maddy and Az;
