- The teacher will use all the parts of UbD to help with Teaching and Learning. The teacher will assess the learning needs, the assessment needs, the learning objectives, and the work plans to properly teach and educate the students in their classroom
- UbD can have many advantages in a classroom, if created and utilized properly. It can help the teacher know and map out exactly what needs to be done in time for an assessment. It helps the teacher focus on the unit curriculum and making sure the students are learning and understanding properly. It also makes it easier for the teacher to plan assessments, and for the students to show that they know and can properly use the skills and knowledge that they have been taught
- The teacher will determine the established goals, what the teacher intends to achieve by the end of the unit, Learning goals, goals of specifically what the students should learn, and the big ideas, the main idea and points of the unit. 
- Stage 2: Assessment EvidenceThe teacher will use performance tasks, an activity or assessment used to show a students understanding of a topic, and other forms of assessments to determine a students understanding of a unit
- Teachers use these for feedback and assessment. The teachers can look at the data collected from the assessments and give students constructive and helpful feedback to help the students improve and learn more in the future
