  • But as the article states, "being an engineer means manipulating equations and calculating measurements to design and build structures of all kinds. And they’re right. Engineering does involve a great deal of mathematics
  • Looking at this bridge reminds of the article "Thinking engineering". Most people believe that engineering and math go hand in hand but in reality they are separate!
  • This is so important ! Understand that objects of differing circumferences, lengths, and size, in general, have differentstrength/resistance to force.• Know how to label and interpret graphs and how to read raw data plotted on an x-y coordinate grid.• Be able to use fractions and ratios to gather useful data in the experiments.• Have experience applying inquiry processes (hypothesize investigation outcomes, understand the importance of repeating experiments for validity, base conclusions on evidence and logical thinking, and know how to use various tools, such as a microscope, balance, and measuring tools).
  • This is important as a teacher because it allows students to gain information from exploring new areas and how they can work together. How engineering goes with science. Or how reading goes with spelling!
