- Welcome Class! Today we are going to talk about our culture.
- I want each of you to come to the front and share your name, a favoutire traditional activity you do with your family and then if you are comfortable please share what culture you are from
- I'm Hamdi, and I am Muslim. My favourite tradition is Eid, where my family fasts together
- Hi! I'm Adam, and I love celebrating Hanukah with my family. I am Jewish
- Hi, my name is Jessica, I love when my mom and I make dumplings. I also love celebrating Chinese New Year, we have a big party. I am Chinese
- Hi I am Johnny, and one family tradition I have is going to the Sun Dance ritual with my family. I am Indigenous
- Hi, my name is Samuel, and my favoutire activity is cooking with my mom, she is always teaching how to cook new recipes, and we share with family and friends. I am African Canadian
- Thank you class for sharing more about your lives with us
- The support and encouragement we gave to our classmates as they shared was wonderful, we need to continue to embrace our classmates culture
- Sometimes not everyone will be so including of different culture, but if we can show kindness then maybe we can teach others too as well
- We should have a celebration for each traditional holiday in class
