- School was good, but i'm really hungry now. I just want to eat. Why is Ramadan so important to follow?
- These are mandatory to stay a Muslim, but Muslims do not feel forced. This is how we worship.
- In our faith there are five pillars. Shahada, five daily obligatory Salat, giving Sakat, the fasting of Ramadan, and performing Hajj.
- Oh, that makes sense. If we aren't starving ourselves when do I get to eat?
- We are going to be having a meal shortly after sunset. We are allowed to eat and drink starting at sundown, until the break of dawn.
- It is important we follow these rules so we can become closer to Allah, and learn new things about our faith.
- But why should we have to fast to become closer to Allah? Can't we just pray
- The Qu'ran instructs us to fast. We also fast to learn important lessons about our brains and bodies, like patience and restraint .
- I have definitely learn a lot about restraint!
- The sun is going to go down soon, let's start preparing our meal to break our fast tonight.
- Okay!!
- The sun has gone down! It is now Iftar, and we can break our fast. After we eat, we will pray!!
- Yay!!
- Time to eat!!
