- In January 1066, Edward the confessor had past away. Edwards cousin William Duke of Normandy thought he should be the next ruler of England.
- I am going to become the next king.
- Harold Godwinson was crowned king. William was furious. Another man called Harold Hardraada was not very pleased about this either.
- aaaaaaaa.
- Harald Hardraada declared war and believed he should be the next ruler of England. On 25th of September 1066 Harald Hardraada had been defeated and killed by Harold Godwinson.
- Harold Godwinson was a fool! Hahaha.
- At the end of September 1066 William Duke of Normandy had set sail to England from France. Harold Godwinson heard this news and prepared his army for battle.
- On the 14th of October Harold's army and Williams army met at Senlac hill. Thousands of men were killed. It was said that King Harold Godwinson had been shot in the eye by an arrow, and died.
- Since William won the battle he was named" William The Conqueror. 25th December 1066 William was crowned King Of England.
