- I guess the story starts with scissors. Once, there was this man who has scissors as his hands.
- Why is is snowing? Where did it come from? I want to hear the story.
- Don't go. I'm not finished yet.
- Hi, I'm Peg, your local Avon lady and I'm as harmless as cherry pi... pie...
- mmmmmmm
- My name is Joyce, and I noticed that you haven't tasted any of the ambrosia I made especially for you.
- You must try this!
- Don't you look gorgeous.
- This is my mother's recipe
- An old lady told her granddaughter a story about a man who lived with scissors as his hands.
- Here is some uhh... lemonade

- The story begins with Peg, an Avon saleslady, who decided to go up to the unknown castle up on the hill hoping to sell something. She meets Edward, the man with Scissorhands and welcomes him to the neighbourhood where she took him under her wing and promised she would take care of him.
- His hands are the sharpest things in the world. They can hack through anything... have a look for yourself
- The neighbours noticed Peg driving a new guest home and instigated a BBQ at Peg's house to meet the 'unusual guest'. They all talk inappropriately about Edward as Joyce tries to talk him into eating her special ambrosia.
- Do you need some water? You okay? The wait won't be too long
- Ohhh, hahah. Oh Eddy, is there anything you can't do? You take my very breath away
- Kim came home from camp and walk's into her room unaware that Edward was in her bed. She makes a loud scream when she notices him, startling the entire family. She runs out of her room believing that there was a serial killer in her room. Peg decides that they needed a proper introduction so she re-introduces them but little do they know, Edward was actually drunk on what Bill called 'lemonade'.
- I just wanted you two to have a proper introduction. Edward, this is Kim, our daughter. Kim, this is Edward who is going to live with us
- Kevin found Edward and his Scissorhands so cool that he decided to bring him to school for his show and tell. Kevin's classmates were a little scared of him at first, however, after Edward proved he had talent, everyone was extremely intrigued and interesting.
- WOAH!
- After Edward randomly groomed a neighbours dog, the entire neighbourhood was lining up to get their dogs groomed by him. From there Joyce asks 'Have you ever cut a women's hair? Would you cut mine?' and so Edward was now known for grooming dogs, cutting hedges and even cutting women's hair.
