  • Now, Tybalt, you can call me a villain again. Mercutio is waiting for us up in heaven. Either you, or I, or both, must go with him.
  • Oh Romeo, Romeo, brave Mercutio is dead!
  • Thou, wretched boy, that didst consort him here. Shalt with him hence.
  • This shall determine that.
  • Romeo, away, be gone! The citizens are around and Tybalt is dead. The Price will surely have you killed if you're found. Go, run!
  • Where are the vial beginners of this fray?
  • After Mercutio claims the wound was "just a scratch" and curses both the Capulets' and Montague's houses, he dies. Benvolio tells Romeo that Mercutio is dead. Romeo gets mad and tries to fight Tybalt.
  • O noble prince, I can discover all,the unlucky manage of this fatal brawl. There lies the man, slain by young Romeo, that slew thy kinsman, brave Mercutio.
  • Benvolio, who began this bloody fray?
  • Romeo and Tybalt fight. Romeo kills Tybalt and Benvolio urges Romeo to run away.
  • Tybalt started the fight before he was killed by Romeo. Romeo did not want to fight, but he could not make peace with him. Tybalt and Mercutio began to fight each other, while Romeo tried to stop them. Tybalt killed Mercutio from under Romeo's arm. Romeo got angry about Mercutio's death and attacked Tybalt. Tybalt was slain and Romeo fled the scene. I'm telling the truth, I swear on my life.
  • The Prince, the Montagues, and the Capulets arrive at the scene. Romeo is gone and both Mercutio and Tybalt are lying on the ground dead. The Prince asks Benvolio where the men are who started the fight.
  • Because of Romeo's part in the death of Tybalt, Romeo is hereby exiled from the streets of Verona. It is because of your families rivalies, Mercutio lies dead. Tell Romeo to leave the city. If he is found, he will be killed. 
  • Benvolio says that he can tell them everything about the deadly fight. He tells the Prince where both Tybalt and Mercutio are. Then the Prince asks who began the fight.
  • Benvolio explains all that went on during the fight. He explains it as truthfully as possible.
  • The Prince exiles Romeo from Verona. If Romeo is ever found in town again, he will be treated as a criminal and killed.
