In 1884, Sarah Winchester moved to San Jose, and she does not know anyone. She begins construction on what is now one of the most famous houses in America.
Move to San Jose
According to her legend, construction continued for the next 38 years on the mansion. There were staircases built leading to dead ends, so the spirits would be misled.
As construction continued on this legendary mansion, Sarah had started to get an obsession. She was telling carpenters to construct rooms with 13 walls or more staircases that led nowhere. She would have whole floors built, and then demolished. Many people called this a cursed obsession.
It's The End. Don't let the ghosts or spirits haunt you like they did (or didn't) to me. Wait, how am I still alive?
If you are wondering why she moved, it was because of three main reasons. The first is when her husband and only daughter had both died, she was very sad and vulnerable. Second, she thought that she was haunted, so she visited a medium. So she did what the medium told her, and she moved to San Jose to build a house.
In 1922, Sarah Winchester had died. She had died of congestive heart failure while she was sleeping.
