- in verona many brawls between two families, the Montagues and the Capulets happened. soon the prince became sick of it and declared that the next time another happened the people who started it would be killed
- Romeo was unhappy because he was in love with Rosaline but she would not love him back so agreed to go a masked ball at the Capulet family mansion.
- at the masked ball romeo and juliet meet for the first time. after they exchange a few words and part ways. but not before Tybalt, Juliet's cousin sees him.
- They get married the very next day but tragedy strikes. Tybalt, Juliet's cousin demands a duel with romeo. Mercutio goes in romeo's place but is killed. when Romeo finds out he kills Tybalt.
- Juliet goes to friar for a plan. he gave her a vile of sleeping draught from a plant
- Romeo hears that Juliet is ''dead'' but does not hear the friar has planned it. he buys poison, and goes to Juliet's ''corpse'' and drinks the poison. Juliet wakes up and finds Romeo dead. she then stabs herself. their families both find them dead.
