  • Napoleon Bonaparte, known for building his Grand Empire, was considered to be one of the most powerful men of Europe. Where he solemnly gave the position of power towards many of his relatives. Many of the people in the conquered countries would be angered by this. Yet, acting oblivious to the situation Napoleon wanted more than what he had.
  • To Napoleon's eyes invading Russia will be another one of his many accomplishments, yet, it will be his third and final mistake within the destruction of his empire.
  • 1812, This cold is bitter, for I don't know how much more a person as I can be able to hold. My heart within me feels as though it is ice, no blood pumping through its livid veins. For I have lost my best friend to my hunger, for charlie I will forever miss being my companion through these horrid times. For this may be my last page, or god may give me another day.
  • Gathering a massive army of well-trained troops from all places in Europe, among those soldiers was Guillermo. A solider who wrote his experience through his journals. An estimated 400,000 men were recruited.
  • 1812, Guerillmo Eastaughffe
  • During November of 1812, a bitter winter came through, Soldiers deserted the army in search for food as well as shelter, viewing the perspective of two soldiers during the invasion of Russia, Guillermo who wrote his experience through a journal that they carried. Recording the many deaths of their fellow companions,including their horses through the economic struggle of hunger and shelter that they were facing.
  • Guerillmo only form of expression through a couple pieces of papers and quill that with some luck had not faded out through the bits of the cold wind. Through times like this the soldiers considered anything food, which is why Guerillmo talks about having to kill his horse in order to provide himself and his companions food.
  • Of the 400,000 men that were expected to come back home, 10,000 were lucky enough to go to the route. The drastic conditions that the men faced the unexpected turn up of the enemy were all the Downfall of a well-known and powerful men, Napoleon. Among those men that met their fate, so did Guerillmo. The only thing left behind was the trace of his notebook, that held his inner thoughts and the despicable description of an era in time, were the cold bit your skin off. There will be no rise for Napoleon.
