  • Gideon v. Wainwright
  • You are under arrest for stealing drinks and $5!
  • Too bad! You don't get one!
  • But I can't afford a lawyer!
  • It doesn't matter! We will not give you a lawyer!
  • I am not a lawyer! How am I supposed to prove myself innocent?!
  • GUILTY!!
  • You are guilty because... blah, blah, blah...
  • I am not guily! (Trying to prove innocence... failing to argue like a proper lawyer...)
  • This is not fair. I should have been given a lawyer so that I stood a chance of winning. I will write to the Supreme Court about this.
  • Dear Supreme Court, I think that I should have been given a lawyer so that I could have been represented fairly in my trial. The 6th Ammendment gives me the right to have a lawyer provieded to me. Sincerely, Clarence Gideon
  • Dear Clarence, we agree that you should have been provided a lawyer for your trial. We will have your trial reconducted and you will be given a lawyer who will represent you in court. Sincerely, The Supereme Court
  • NOT GUILTY!
  • Because of this case all states must now provide eternies to all criminal defendants who cannot afford one.
  • Once he had a real lawyer representing him, Gideon was proven innocent and released.
  • I'm your lawyer!
