Martin Luther was born November 10th ,1483 in Eisleben Saxony.
Due to this increase in money, Martin attended a Latin school in Mansfeld in 1488.
Although his parents were peasants, his father worked hard and become a master smelter.
After a terrible storm in Stottenheim, Luther vows to be a monk.
He gives up his career in law and joins the Augustinian order at the monastery in 1505.
On October 31st, Luther nails the 95 thesis on the door of Lutherstadt Wittenberg's Castle Church.
Luther preaches against the selling of indulgences.
Translated from Latin into German, the 95 thesis spread like wildfire.
1517
Luther then grows a beard and goes by the name "Squire George". He translates the New Testament from Greek into German.
On his journey, Luther was "kidnapped" when in reality he was back in the protection of Frederick the Wise.
Martin Luther was excommunicated and summoned to appear before the Diet of Worms.
1521
On December 25th Luther holds The German Mass, the first Protestant service.
Luther returns to Lutherstadt Wittenberg and sets off a series of theological and social reforms, such as education for all!
He encourages monks and nuns to leave their abbeys.
1522-1525
Martin Luther died on 18th February, 1546 at the age of 62.
He changed the entire history of Europe through Protestantism and his legacy lives on.
