Mary Maloney was sitting in her living room waiting for her husband's arrival.As his car pulls into the driveway.
she walked upstairs to see Patrick standing looking out the window. in frustration she swung the lamb leg at her husband hitting his head and knocking him unconscious
patrick tells mary some unfortunate news that makes her upset.

Mary heads down to the basement to find something for Patrick to eat she is still in shock that her husband is leaving her. she found a lamb leg in the freezer and is going to take it up to the kitchen to make patrick some dinner.

the officers began to eat the lamb leg not knowing that that was what killed patrick maloney
