- Private... means, just for me
- My name is Tolo. I live with my Papa, Mama and my sister, Kamna, in our apartment building. I like to play football with my friend, Rageet.
- Everyday, the bus picks me up for school at 7.30am. The bus ride to school is fun because I meet my friends. I like sitting next to my friend, Sundeep. At school, I like to do writing. I play cricket at lunchtime.
- I learn new things at school everyday. Yesterday, I heard a word that I didn’t know. My teacher said that going to the toilet is a private thing to do. Do you know what private means?
- At dinner time, I asked my Papa what private meant. ‘Tolo, private means just for you,’ he said ‘What things are private, Papa?’ I asked
- ‘You have some special things that are just for you. You have some parts of your body that are private.’

- After dinner, Mama said it was time for me to have a bath. I washed my face and my ears. I washed my hands, my feet and my knees.
- Your private body parts, are just for.
- ‘Mama, why do Kamna’s private body parts look different to mine?’ I asked. ‘Because she is a girl and you are a boy. Girls and boys have different private body parts. That is the special way that God made them.’

- Mama reminded me to wash my private body parts too. ‘Now that you are growing up, you can wash your bottom and your penis by yourself,’ Mama said.
- ‘Kamna has a bottom and a vagina. She also has breasts. These are her private body parts
- Remember, your private body parts are just for you
- ‘Remember, you can always talk to me and Papa about private things. We are always here if you have any questions or are worried about anything,’ Mama said

- At school, the next day, I was playing cricket with Sundeep. He needed to go to the washroom. He told me to go with him. ‘I will wait for you outside,’ I said.
- ‘What other things are private?’ I asked ‘Your underwear are your private clothes. The washroom, toilet and shower are the private places that you go.’
- I remembered what I had learnt yesterday. Going to the washroom is a private thing to do. I felt happy that I had learned something new! I will always remember that my private things are just for me.
