- You can get even more specific and pursue mechanical, chemical, or civil engineering.
- Chemical engineering involves working with the basic makeup of different substances in order to solve problems.
- Mechanical engineering involves machines and mechanical devices used to solve problems or make things more efficient.
- Civil engineering involves working with public infrastructure like roads and bridges.
- Where would I work?
- Civil engineers tend to work on cite or in offices.
- Chemical engineers tend to work in labs or plants.
- Mechanical engineers tend to work in factories.
- Is there anything that separates engineering from other careers?
- Engineering is actually considered to be one of the most altruistic careers since so much work is done for the benefit of others.
