- Mountain Men - The mountain men were adventurous fur trappers who would go around and explore territories. They contributed to Westward expansion by building forts.
- NEVER!! WE FIGHT FOR IT!
- this lands ours NOW MOVE ALONG!
- The Oregon Trails - Pioneers set out for independence along the westwar trail, they would face the arguably worst time, they were sick, and even dying. The trails eventually lead to thousands of people to move westwards. They moved west for land that would eventually become part of the U.S
- Manifest Destiny - Americans thought their government was better then others so they started to move to north america because they thought it was their god-given destiny.

- Mexican-American War- Mexico hadtexas originally until American wanted texas so they had an annexation they had a 20 month war over Texasand fo rmore land in the west. They won and expanded west for cali, Arizona and Texas
- Mormons in Utah- TheMormons forced a lot of persecution for their beliefs so they thought. lets go find some new territory. Thousands of Mormons went out and built an attraction in Utah that would bring a lot of people west
- Cali gold rush- A person found some gold in 1848, which sparked to peoples that head to California had gold which could make them rich so everybody headed towards California. All though very through very few became Rich, they did make it to where their was enough population to eventually make it a state in 1850.
