God makes promises to Abraham that one of his descendants will be a blessing to the world, his descendants will have land and that his descendants will be in a good place.
God sends Moses to be the leader and Moses then confronts the king of Egypt. to let the slaves free. The king refuses and then God sends the 10 plagues on Egypt. Eventually the king gives in and lets the Israelites go.
Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt and to Gods promised land.
This is after Israel has been invaded and abandoned.
When the Israelites arrive they insist that they want a human king but God warns them that it wouldn't be good. God gives them a king called King David. God promises David that he would rule forever and his family would be a blessing to the world. Even though David was given a promise he sinned. All of David's descendants end up leading people away from God.
The Israelites arrive in Gods promised land where they were meant to worship and obey god but they didn't do that. They worshipped other idols or made up gods and did lots of sinful things. This is when the time of the judges began. When the judge died, the Israelites started to worship other gods again.
God wants Israel to turn back to him but they refuse. Israel gets invaded this is called The Exile. This causes none of Abrahams descendants to live in the promised land, there isn't a king from David's family ruling them instead they are living in other lands and are worshipping other gods. When the descendants return they still wait for messiah to bless the world.
