- Rusty, a house cat had a pretty decent life with his house folk. But he wanted something more..
- Rusty has a dream about trying to catch a mouse in the forest outside his home, yet he always woke up before he could reach it. When he woke from his dream, the scent of the forest still fresh in his mind, wanting to feel like how he felt in the forest scent, he walked out into his garden to try and smell the forest again and relive the feeling of his dream.
- The next day Rusty decides that he wants to leave his house cat life, and live in the nearby forest to join the wild cats that live there. Rusty tells his friend, Smudge (A white cat with black smudges) about his choice, however Smudge tries to persuade Rusty to not go into the forest and the wild cats are dangerous, but after a few more moments of talking Smudge lets Rusty go and says its ok, and wishes his friend well. They spend the rest of the day together, their last day together ever
