'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' Book Report #2 - Ria Jain

- I remember I got this book for a little light reading.
- Turns any metal into gold and gives the elixir of life.
- Harry, Ron, and Hermione found out about the Sorcerers Stone and thought Snape was going to steal it because they found him threatening Quirell and saw him going to the forbidden corridor where the three headed dog guarded the sorcerers stone.
- They had detention and had to find a hurt unicorn with Hagrid. They saw a hooded figure that they later realized was Voldemort. He was drinking the blood of the unicorn. Hagrid told them that unicorn blood gives the person who drinks it life, but a cursed life because they have hurt something so pure.
- One among us seven will let you move ahead, another will transprot the drinker back instead, Two among our number hold only nettle wine, Three of us are killers, waiting hidden in line.
- Harry, Ron, and Hermione thought that Snape was trying to steal the sorcerers stone for Voldemort. They had to stop him. They played music for the three headed dog which made it fall asleep. They went inside the trap door and landed in devils snare. The branches wrapped around them.
- Hermione remembered that you had to stop moving. When they did, fell into another room. They had to catch a key to go to the next room. After getting the key and unlocking the door, They had to play real life chess to go to the next room.
- After playing chess, Hermione and Harry had to drink the right potions to move on. Hermione drank a potion that took her back to the chess room to help Ron. Harry went the the final room.
- The mirror of Erised was there. Instead of Snape, it was Quirrel who was there. He said that he was going to get the sorcerers stone to help Voldemort. Voldemort had to share someone else's body to live. Harry got the stone and did not give it to Quirrel. Voldemort disappeared and Harry woke up in the hospital wing. Dumbledore told him that the stone was destroyed.
