Storyboard Text
- Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dally meet Cherry and Marcia at a drive in movie theater. Dally starts talking dirty to the girls and that gets them really angry. Johnny then tells Dally to leave them alone. They end up enjoying each others company.

- Bob and Randy see the Greasers walking with their girlfriends and try to get their girlfriends to come with them but fail, so that makes them really mad at the Greasers.

- Johnny kills Bob as self defense because the Socs were drowning Ponyboy in the fountain. He killed just to save his friend.

- After coming back from the Dairy Queen they see that The church is on fire! They're children stuck in the church. Johnny and Ponyboy blame themselves because they had dropped a cigarette in the church and they think that might have caused this to happen.
- Oh no! There are children inside!
- Dally, Ponyboy, and Johnny are taken to the hospital after being burned in the church. Johnny is suffering from third degree burns. Ponyboy and Dally are suffering from minor burns.
- Ponyboy and Two-Bit visit Johnny before they go for the rumble. Ponyboy decided that he wanted to meet Johnny and Two-Bit tags along.
