- A digital footprint is the mark you all leave whenever you access the internet. You have one, I have one, and every person that has ever spent time on the internet has one. Every time you post, send pictures, and send messages, you are adding to your footprint. Nothing can be removed from your footprint, but you can always add to it.

- Digital footprints can either be positive or negative. A negative digital footprint consists of things that are on the internet that you would not want to be there. People often look at your digital footprint before hiring you for jobs, after they meet you, and insecurepeople even use negative footprints against others for cyber- bullying, so it is very important to maintain a positive one!
