- Abraham was an old person who had a wife but no kids so he asked god if he could give him kids. God said that he will and that his descendants will become a great nation but he will have to leave his home. Abraham and his wife leave to a land named Canaan where he waited for many years but God kept his promise and he had many decadents
- Abram's descendants became slaves unlike what God promised so he sent a person called Moses to free them but the king refused so god sent 10 plagues to Egypt . The king finally let them go and Moses took them back to the promised land.
- While there in the desert Moses gives his people 10 commandments, don't worship any other god, don't make idols, don't misuse God's name, remember that the Sabbath day belongs to God, respect your parents, do not murder, be faithful in marriage, do not steal, do not tell lies about others and don't want anything that belongs to others.
- When they returned they started worshiping idols, NOT God and started doing sinful things like other nations did.
- He is our God
- God wanted them to come back to him but they didn't so God let other countries invade Israel. After they got invaded they turned back to God for help. This cycle went on and on for centuries.
- God, please help us!
- God continues to rescue his people and then Israel decides that the problem isn't them but that they need a human king. God refused, but they insisted so he gave gave them King David. God promises King David that his family will rule Israel.
