Storyboard Text
- We have to go back and turn ourselves in!
- Dally explodes with information. Then, Johnny tells Ponyboy and Dally that they need to go back and turn themselves in. Surprised and confused, Dally tells them that if they go back they have enough support from family, friends, and Cherry to not get put in the electric chair.
- Are You serious?!?!
- So we did all this to our hair for nothing!
- Starved and apprehensive, the three boys talk about turning themselves in. Johnny assures Dally that they won't even speak him name. They continue to think about the dangers and risks of them going back, not making a decision in the end.
- Johnny, Ponyboy, and Dally walk outside to see what all of the noise and gathering is about. Shocked and worried, they see that the old church was on fire. Right away, Johnny and Ponyboy thought about whether or not they started the fire with the cigarettes. The fire is spreading as fast as a tornado.
- Hastily and terrified, Ponyboy and Johnny ran towards the burning church after hearing that there were four or five little kids trapped in there. Trampling through the flaming church, Ponyboy and Johnny get all of the kids out safely. But, even tough the kids were out safely Johnny and Ponyboy may not be.
- The ambulance came and took everyone to the hospital. On the way there Ponyboy awakens and immediately starts asking about Johnny and Dally. In response, the paramedic tells him that Dally will be ok, but it was to early to tell if Johnny was going to be alright. Half asleep and Startled, Ponyboy stays quiet while thinking about the worst that could happen.
- Where's Johnny and Dally!?! Are they going to be ok!?
- Surprised and nervous, Ponyboy sees Darry and Sodapop walk through the hospital door. He gets up and slowly walks towards them. Darry says Ponyboys name and Ponyboy runs into their arms and is happy to have the comfort and support of his brothers again.
- Ponyboy...
