  • Great day Luna,How's your second week of face to face class?
  • hmm...what kind of activity it is?
  • i'm willing to help,i know some things about planets.
  • good to hear that you're willing to help Sol,lets start with the planet that near to sun.
  • we need to search about the Planets in our Solar System.
  • Great day Sol,well,we're still adjusting and we already had our first activity in Earth Science.
  • Mercury -it is the smallest planet in the Solar System,it is only slightly larger than Earth's moon And the planet closest to the Sun.Its orbit around the Sun takes 87.97 Earth days, the shortest of all the Sun's planets.
  • Like the moon, Mercury has very little atmosphere to stop impacts and it is covered with craters. Mercury's dayside is super-heated by the sun, but at night temperatures drop hundreds of degrees below freezing. Ice may even exist in craters.
  • -Distance from the sun is about 36 million miles.-Year is about 88 Earth days.-Day is about 59 Earth days
  • Lets start with Planet Mercury,
  • Venus is the second planet from the Sun and is named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty. As the brightest natural object in Earth's night sky after the Moon, Venus can cast shadows and can be visible to the naked eye in broad daylight.
  • Venus is a terrestrial planet and is sometimes called Earth's sister planet because of their similar size, mass, proximity to the Sun, and bulk composition.
  • next planet is venus
  • Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. While large amounts of water can be found throughout the Solar System, only Earth sustains liquid surface water.
  • The Earth was once believed to be the centre of the universe.Due to the apparent movements of the Sun and planets in relation to their viewpoint, ancient scientists insisted that the Earth remained static, whilst other celestial bodies travelled in circular orbits around it.
  • third in a row is our planet Earth.
  • Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun and the second-smallest planet in the Solar System, being larger than only Mercury. In the English language, Mars is named for the Roman god of war.Mars is a terrestrial planet with a thin atmosphere, and has a crust primarily composed of elements similar to Earth's crust, as well as a core made of iron and nickel.
  • Days and seasons on Mars are comparable to those of Earth, as the planets have a similar rotation period and tilt of the rotational axis relative to the ecliptic plane. Liquid water on the surface of Mars cannot exist due to low atmospheric pressure, which is less than 1% of the atmospheric pressure on Earth.
  • lets move on to Planet Mars
  • Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest in the Solar System. It is a gas giant with a mass more than two and a half times that of all the other planets in the Solar System combined, but slightly less than one-thousandth the mass of the Sun. Jupiter is the third brightest natural object in the Earth's night sky after the Moon and Venus, and it has been observed since prehistoric times.
  • Jupiter is primarily composed of hydrogen, but helium constitutes one-quarter of its mass and one-tenth of its volume. It probably has a rocky core of heavier elements,[16] but, like the other giant planets in the Solar System, it lacks a well-defined solid surface.
  • next to Planet Mars is Planet Jupiter
