- In 613 C.E. Muhammad begins to preach to Makkans about the belief in one god.

- I can't believe how many followers I have

- Also in 613, he urged makka to care for the poor and orphans. He also tried to improve the lives of women.

- Arabs and weathy Makkan's were unhappy with Muhammad for different reasons. Wealthy Makkans's didn't want to give their wealth and Arab's didn't want to give up their gods.
