Storyboard Text

  • Resolution: Mr.Auld sent Fredrick Douglass to Baltimore to learn a trade because when he was with Mr.and Mrs. Auld, he learned how to read behind their backs when they told him not to and one thing he did was give food to a poor, white boy so the boy would teach him how to read. Theme: Never give up on what you want
  • Fredrick Douglass, John and Henry were told on by a slave about their passes and planned escape. The night they were going to leave the slave that told on them thought that he would be a good slave because he told Mr. Freeland the whole plan was even though they were in on it.
  • Fredrick Douglass, John Henry and other slaves are tied up and sent to Mr. Freeland because they did not know who made the passes for the slaves so they could escape. All the slaves had to get rid of their passes so Mr. Freeland would not send them away down south to somewhere where slavery is really bad.
