Hey not at all. You can call me Phagocytosis. It's a pleasure meeting you dear.
Woahh. Hey ! I've never seen you around. Do you mind me asking your name? I'm Pinocytosis.
So do you live around here?
Yes, i live in the bloodstream but I normally migrate to a location depending where I'm needed.
Well you can call me a fluid-a- holic , i just made that up haha. But my job is simple, I actively engulf external fluids along with small particles.
So what do you do?Do you work or are you studying?
What ? no way ! We basically have the same line of work however I specialize in engulfing relatively large material. Sometimes it's really challenging, because I have to use my own Active transport.
Oh my, the feeling is mutual, I too make use of Active transport. phew ! talk about exerting energy.
Hey don't you think that we should work together sometime? I'll ingest the large particles and you could ingest the surrounding fluid and smaller particles. What do you think?
Yes sure miss Phagocytosis hahaha. But I think that we should get going now. I will definitely see you around !
Phagocytosis is the process by which a cell engulfs large particles or whole cells, either as a defense mechanism or as a means to obtain food. Pinocytosis is a method of active transport across the cell membrane in which the cell takes in extracellular fluids
