- LSD is a strong hallucinogenic chemical that comes in a colourless and odourless liquid. This liquid (acid) is usually dripped and dried onto paper and sold as LSD 'tabs', or sometimes dripped onto pills or even onto food like sugar cubes and swallowed. LSD stands for lysergic acid diethylamide.
- Common Street names for LSD are back breaker, battery acid, boomers, doses, Elvis, loony toons, pane, Superman and white lightning

- LSD is ingested by being swallowed.
- Some affects are dilated pupils, higher body temperature , nausea, loss of appetite, increased blood sugar, increased heart rate , increased blood pressure, sleeplessness, dry mouth and tremors.
- While, LSD is not considered addictive due to users do not get the feeling in their brain that forces them to abuse the drug. A long-term affect of using the drug is that the user of LSD wont be able to tell which sensations are created by the LSD drug and which are part of reality.

- NHSDA in 2010 has estimated that the percentage of the population aged 18 and 25 who had ever used LSD was 6.4%, down from 15.9 percent in 2002.
