Mordecai waits at the gate most days waiting for Esther. One day he overheard the gates keepers plotting to kill the king! Mordecai went straight to Esther to spread the news. Esther then told the king and the king killed the gate keepers. The king also thanked Mordecai#160;for saving his life.
Lets Kill the King!
One day, Haman the Persian Official, saw Moredcai standing instead of worshiping. Haman doesn't like this so he wants to kill him. Although, Moredcai is very respectful to God but sees bowing to Haman disrespectful.#160;
So Disrespectful!
Haman was so mad that he not only wanted to kill Mordecai but he wanted to kill all the Jews as well. Haman then made the 13th day of Adar to be the day that he killed all the Jews.
13th Day of Adar
Luckily the king looked through his book of Royal Records and remembered that Moredecai saved his life from the two gate keepers. In honour of this the king honoured Mordecai the next day.

The king ordered Haman to take Moredecai around the city on horseback so that#160; the city could appreciate#160;him for saving the kings life. Haman hadn't told the king of his new law but when he spread the news to Esther and the King they didn't like it at all.
The king told Esther and Moredecai that the law cannot be unwritten. But luckily another law could be written on top of it.#160; So the king wrote a new Law that celebrates the Jews instead of killing them. This day is celebrated by the Jews to this day, It is called Purim.
