- A man and woman arguing a few rooms over.
- A man and woman arguing a few rooms over.
- They are about 13 years old anddressed in very baggy clothes with the girl having the shirtpulled over her legs as she's in a sitting fetal position.pictures and painting of the 2 children are shown around theroom and it is learned they are brother and sister The girls name is ANUHEA and the boys is KAWIKA.
- Anuhea:(face is buried in her legs as she talks so she sounds muffled at times.)Mom and dad are at it again.I hate it.They've been fighting more and more now.(she starts to sniffle but try to hide her emotions or sadness and frustration.)
- Kawika:I know I'm sick of it too sis. I just wish they would just disappear forever.(He has a face of anger.he gets up to comfort his sister.)
- Kawika walks over to Anuhea
- Anuhea:(her face lifts up from her legs eyes tearing as she faces her brother) How could you say that about mom and dad.
- Kawika:They haven't been our parents for 5 YEARS ANU. They seem to only care about their stupid arguments now. Dad is more interested in how much BOOZE he has left and mom is always to UPSET or SLEEPING to care about US, WE didn't even get dinner tonight.
- Anuhea:sighs I wish we could just go to Tutu's house again...
- Kawika:Yeah.....(He stands up) Come on lets get to bed and try to get some sleep we have to wake up early for school tomorrow morning.
- Anuhea: (she nods and gets up. She dries her face with her baggy shirt.)
- The two kids get into their beds and grab their pillows and put them over their head in hopes to drown out the arguing of their parents so that they can fall asleep. The shot focuses back on the light as the arguing continues. the argument reaches its end as you can hear the mom yelling at the dad to get out of the house and then a loud door slam rings throughout the house. The door slam causes the light bulb to go out leaving the room in complete darkness. ANUHEA is heard crying very softly.
