Saul and his followers were on there way to Damascus. They were going to persecute Christians...
Boy do I hate those Christians!!
All of a sudden, Saul was blinded by a light and fell off his horse.
Jesus commanded Saul to go to the city and he would be told what to do.
Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting.
But Lord, didn't Saul persecute Christians?? Now he wants to be one? I don't understand!
Jesus replied, Go, for this man is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before Gentiles, kings, and Israelites, and I will show him what he will have to suffer for my name.”
The Lord spoke to Ananias and asked him to go see Saul. Then lay his hands on Saul, that he would regain his sight.
So, Ananias did as the Lord told him and immediately Saul regained his sight. Then Saul went and got baptized
Saul then stayed with the disciples for a short time. He proclaimed the truth and preached about how Jesus is the Son of Man.
The news spread of this surprising conversion. The Jews plotted to kill Saul and the disciples helped him escape. The disciples lowered Saul in a basket through an opening in the wall.
When Saul arrived in Jerusalem the (other) disciples were afraid of him and didn't believe he was an apostle. So, Barnabas took charge and reported how he spoke boldly about the Lord. Then Saul went with them and preached about Jesus.
