  • Of course son, let me help you and let me tackle that thing.
  • Hey grandpa, do you know what fossil foil is? and how is it formed?
  • Fossil fuels are made from decomposing plants and animals. These fuels are found in the Earth’s crust and contain carbon and hydrogen, which can be burned for energy. Most of the energy used today comes from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are made ofhydrocarbons.
  • Fossil fuels are formed after million of years underground. Actually, Coal, oil, and natural gas are the three types of fossil fuels.
  • Coal is a material usually found in sedimentary rock deposits where rock and dead plant and animal matter are piled up in layers. Oil is a liquid fossil fuel made up mostly of hydrocarbons. It can be found in underground reservoirs; in the cracks, crevices, pores of sedimentary rock, and etc. Natural gas is a fossil energy source that formed deep beneath the earth's surface. Natural gas contains many different compounds.
  • Fossil fuels are important because it provides the electricity, used for heating homes as well as providing heat for industrial applications, and also transportation. Besides, there is also a bad effect of fossil fuels which can produce greenhouse gases that can destroy the earth's atmosphere.
  • That's it for today son. i hope you learn a lot from my knowledge about fossil fuels.
