  • In home filled with confort and love, a family was built. A shining example of what could be seen as the ideal family:Eliane and Fred, the parents; Joaquim and Valentina the siblings.

  • Not far from them, poor kids have to face the most complex concerns due to circumstances far beyond their control.

  • It's ironic to think that the majority that live in such harsh conditions are really familiar with the reality of a minority, people who have everything.

  • Yet, in contrast, the reality of the majority remains unknown, unrecognized, forgotten and ignored.

  • Once, Joaquim left home and met Bernardo, a younger boy who was selling candies to survive.

  • Joaquim got disturbed by what he saw. How could that situation be seen as normal by society? How could many basic rights be denied to many children?

  • He asked for aswers and got even more upset when he realized that his distress was seen as pointless, and no one really believed that he could change something.

  • Joaquim refused to accept that the inequality he had witnessed was normal, and decided to do something.

  • He criated a non-profit organization focused on food distribution.

  • He knows that this role should have been fulfilled by much larger institutions, but he feels happy to change people's realities even for a bit.

  • Now, he is an inspiration to all those who want to change situations that seem immutable, and keeps doing his best to improves people's lives.

  • Apesar de reconhecer a desigualdade em que vivemos como sistêmica, injustiças cotidianas não podem ser tratadas com conformismo. É preciso que haja na sociedade ao menos, a vontade de superar processos de injustiças para prover uma realidade melhor a todos.
